Drafting an RFE Response in Parley

Last updated: October 1, 2025

Responding to a Request for Evidence (RFE) is a critical part of many high-skilled visa applications. Parley streamlines the process by allowing you to upload your RFE, reuse existing exhibits, subscribe to case updates, and generate a high-quality draft response using new evidence and playbook snippets.

Drafting RFE Response Overview (0:00)

To begin, open your case in Parley and select RFE Response in the top-right corner. From here, you can:

  • Upload the official RFE receipt.

  • Pull in exhibits and groups from your original filing.

  • Keep consistent organization across both the petition and response.

This setup ensures you have both the RFE context and your original case materials available.

Integrating Case Status Updates (0:47)

Each RFE receipt includes a receipt number. Parley integrates with USCIS’s Case Status API, allowing you to:

  • Subscribe to automatic case updates.

  • Receive email notifications when the case status changes.

Enabling this option helps you stay on top of developments without manually checking USCIS updates.

Processing RFE Information (1:35)

Once your RFE is uploaded, Parley processes the document and extracts key details. You’ll be able to:

  • View the full RFE and a summarized version.

  • Access suggested next steps for your client.

  • See a dynamic outline of the challenged criteria, with officer comments clearly highlighted.

For best results, upload the final attorney support letter from your original filing. This provides important context for what was argued and how best to respond.

Creating a High-Quality Draft (2:38)

To build your draft response, Parley allows you to:

  • Upload new exhibits to strengthen your case.

  • Incorporate playbook snippets, which are reusable arguments or citations from past successful RFEs stored in your knowledge base.

  • Generate a draft response that integrates both your original arguments and the newly added materials.

All exhibits will be indexed and cited properly in the draft, ensuring a professional, ready-to-review product.

Next step: Upload your RFE receipt, enable case updates, and add your original attorney letter. Then use new exhibits and playbook snippets to generate a high-quality draft response that addresses every challenged criterion.
