Editing Drafts in Chat
Last updated: October 1, 2025
This guide introduces Edit in Chat, a feature that lets you refine drafts created in Parley by pulling sections directly into the Parley Agent. Because the chat has context from your entire case, edits can incorporate information from other sections seamlessly.
Getting Started with Edit in Chat (0:00)
After generating a draft in Parley, you may want to adjust its style, length, or details. With Edit in Chat, you can:
Pull any section of your draft into the Parley Agent.
See the full text of that section displayed for editing.
Provide simple prompts (e.g., “make this shorter” or “integrate this new evidence”).
This allows you to quickly refine drafts without manually rewriting.
Advanced Editing and Customization (2:06)
Edits can be as specific or broad as you need:
Shorten or expand a section to fit the case strategy.
Adjust tone or wording to match your preferred style.
You can also upload additional documents to incorporate new evidence into your draft. For example:
“Make this section reflect the attached award certificate.”
“Incorporate these new publications into the draft.”
The feature works across all drafting needs - including reference letters - so you can refine, adapt, and personalize any section.
Next step: Try pulling a section of your draft into chat and give a few test prompts. Experiment with making edits shorter, changing details, or integrating new evidence to see how seamlessly Parley adapts your draft.
