Drafting Reference Letters in Parley

Last updated: October 1, 2025

Reference letters are a key part of high-skilled visa applications. With Parley, you can create, revise, and manage these letters directly within the Letters tab. Whether you’re drafting individually or generating multiple letters at once, Parley streamlines the process to save you time and reduce client back-and-forth.

Reference Letters Overview (0:00)

From the Letters tab, you can:

  • Create new reference letters one by one using the New Recommender button.

  • Revise existing drafts uploaded by clients.

  • Upload intake forms listing multiple recommenders, including their relationship to the beneficiary and relevant details.

This ensures you can quickly capture all the necessary information about each recommender.

Generating Multiple Letters (1:24)

If you have an intake form with several recommenders, upload it directly into Parley. The system will:

  • Extract key information such as names, backgrounds, and relationship to the beneficiary.

  • Display all recommenders in a grid view for easy management.

  • Allow you to select criteria like original contributions when generating letters.

You can also upload old letters or additional documents as input. With one click on Generate All, Parley will produce letters for every recommender at once.

Viewing and Editing Letters (2:27)

Once letters are generated, you can:

  • Open each draft using View Letter.

  • Download the draft to Word or Google Docs.

  • Copy and share it via email.

  • Refine the letter directly using Edit in Chat.

By pulling the full letter into chat, you can prompt edits such as:

  • “Incorporate more information about their time at Google.”

  • “Make this section shorter and more formal.”

Because chat has full context from the case, refinements seamlessly integrate details from across the application.

Next step: Try uploading an intake form with multiple recommenders and generate letters in bulk. Then use Edit in Chat to fine-tune each draft for accuracy and tone.
