Using Tables in Parley

Last updated: February 18, 2026

Tables let you process large volumes of documents at once — extracting key information, assessing eligibility, and producing work products — all through a flexible, customizable interface. Whether you're running H-1B intake or EB-1A evaluations, tables can be adapted to fit your firm's workflow.

Introduction to Tables Functionality

You can access Tables directly from the left navigation panel. From there, you can create a new table from scratch or load an existing template. Tables are fully flexible — the columns, prompts, and output types can all be customized and saved as firm-wide templates for repeated use.

Loading the H-1B Intake Template

When creating a table, you can load a predefined template to get started quickly. The H-1B intake template, for example, comes with columns already configured, including:

  • Applicant Name — a simple prompt to extract the applicant's name from the uploaded document.

  • Document Type — identifies whether the document is a resume, intake form, or another file type.

  • H-1B Eligibility — a more detailed prompt that assesses whether a given individual appears to be H-1B and H-1B cap eligible.

You can modify any of these prompts, add new columns, and save the result as your own template.

Uploading Documents for Processing

Once your table is configured, you can upload any number of documents — resumes, intake forms, or a mix of both — and add them to the table. Parley supports high-volume processing, with some firms running tables across more than a thousand documents at a time. When you're ready, hit Run All to execute the defined prompts across every file simultaneously.

Filtering Eligibility Results

After processing, you can interact with the results dynamically. You can use text filters to isolate specific outcomes — for example, filtering to show only applicants who are likely cap eligible. You can also chat directly with the table using natural language, asking questions like "return a list of who is cap eligible" to generate synthesized work products or perform meta-analysis across all uploaded documents. Every response includes citations linking back to the specific document it drew from.

Exporting and Use Cases

Once your table is complete, you can export the results as a CSV or combine all documents into a single PDF. Beyond H-1B intake, tables support a wide range of use cases, including:

  • EB-1A evaluations, where columns can be configured with multi-select options rather than open-ended text responses.

  • Source of funds reviews, where you can extract specific dollar amounts from invoices or financial documents.

  • Any workflow where you need to pull structured data from a large set of files consistently and at scale.

Next step: Try loading the H-1B intake template and uploading a batch of resumes or intake forms. Then experiment with filtering the results and chatting with the table to see how it can accelerate your review and drafting process.
